Dr. Ronald Yim graduated from the Faculty of Dentistry, University of Toronto in 1990. Upon graduating, he invested countless hours into continuing his education in various disciplines in the dental field, which resulted in being granted a fellowship with the Academy of General Dentistry in 2004. In addition to completing comprehensive courses in orthodontics (with the Canadian Straightwire and Functional Orthopaedic Programme) and implantology (with the Misch International Implant Institute), Dr. Yim achieved his Mastership status with the Academy of General Dentistry in 2011.

Dr. Yim has held various positions on the executive board of the Burlington Dental Academy since 1998, serving as President in 2001. Dr. Yim’s active involvement in organized dentistry continued when he served as a Councillor for the Ontario Dental Association from 2005–2009 and the Board of Directors from 2009-2015.

Currently, Dr. Yim treats long-term care patients at the Joseph Brant Memorial Hospital and is the Hospital Liaison for the Burlington Dental Academy. In recognition of his contributions to the dental profession, Dr. Yim was recognized with the Ontario Dental Association’s Award of Merit in 2014 and has also received fellowships at the International College of Dentists and the Pierre Fauchard Academy.
